20th April '08..the day that just went past

Woke up, as usual did not brush my teeth for today. Lied (1st lie of the day) that I brushed my teeth, to my mom, who threatened to withhold breakfast unless I did the same. In the good ole days when I was scared of lying, I'd wash my face with water, and confirm to my mon, that I indeed washed my face (Where I come from, the Telugu phrase meant for brushing one's teeth, literally translates into, "Have you washed your face?" :D

Anyways, I've been reading Shantaram all through morning and afternoon. I got up at 10am so the 4K run had to be postponed. I am trying to get back into good shape. The thing is that I would be going through a high-intensity trek in the Himalayas in a fortnight, and my voluntarily sedentary life at MICA, with nearly a pack of cigarettes a day, and NO exercise had left me at a point, where a few minutes of hard running left me exhausted enough to keep panting for a whole hour after that. Therefore, it being critical for me to get back into shape, I have got back to walking/jogging/running.

Stopped reading Shantaram at afternoon time, and busied myself with Friends, the Hindi-dubbed version of Indra & a NatGeo documentary on the construction of the Burj al Arab Hotel.

After hours of useless Net surfing & online social networking, went out with my folks to buy ethnic wear for a cousin's marriage. fabIndia & Westside. Ended up with loads of chicken at KFC along with some amazing ice-cream for dessert at Melting Moments.

Here ends the 1st day. Have planned and decided to take full responsibility for getting 5 more MICA theme tee-shirts printed; the plain MICA polo, MICA Alumni-Ideas Unlimited tee, a MICA sweatshirt, a MICA jacket & a MICAn for life tee.

What a fucking shallow post. Reminds me of the posts of another Hyderabad based blogger. No depth whatsoever in some of her posts. What a useless life. I'm transforming into another of those denizens for whom it really doesn't matter if they die this moment or the next, 'cause the disease of shallowness has already entered their life. Yuck!!! No wonder I request people not to read my blog. God save the person who chooses to read the same.
